Who we are
HaMaslul - In 2015 we formed the first educational center for cycling in Ganei Yehoshua TLV. Our passion comes from the belief that cycling is a powerful tool that combines physical activities, overcoming challenges and social interaction.
HetzUmatara NGO operates educational programs for youth at risk which confronts them with challenges and guides them through cycling to achievement.
העמותה מפעילה תכנית רצף שנתית המעמידה את בני הנוער מול אתגרים פיזיים, מנטאליים, אישיים וקבוצתיים.
התכנית מלמדת שהדרך להצלחה טמונה באמונה עצמית, נחישות והתמדה, ומועברת לקבוצות נוער בסיכון המגיעים ממסגרות חינוכיות הממוקדות לטיפול ורווחה.
המפגשים השבועיים מועברים על ידי מדריכים ומאמני אופניים המגיעים מרקע תחרותי רב שנים, ומהווים מודל לחיקוי.
בני הנוער חווים באמצעות תהליך חינוכי מובנה, תחושת הצלחה אשר מתורגמת ומעובדת לכל תחומי החיים.
בוגרי התכנית מסיימים עם תחושת מסוגלות, בטחון עצמי ורעב להצלחות נוספות בחיים ומשתלבים בתוכניות ההמשך של המסלול בהתאם לכישורים של כל אחד ואחת.

קורס מכונאי אופניים
בני הנוער יעברו קורס מובילי קבוצות ויוסמכו לעבוד עם קבוצות הילדים של העמותה כעוזרי מדריך המלווים את המדריך הראשי של הפעילות.
בני הנוער יעברו קורס והכשרה מעשית לקבלת תעודת מכונאי אופניים. בסיום ההכשרה יוכלו לעבוד כמכונאים במועדון בשעות אחר הצהריים.
הסדנא מיועדת לתיקוני אופני העמותה ופתוחה לקבלת קהל.
Our educational program runs yearly and faces the teens
with physical, mental, personal and group challenges.
Through the program we learn that the path to success
lies in self-belief, determination and persistence.
The program takes groups of up to 15 children and teens, who arrive from educational institutes designed for youth at risk. We work in full cooperation with their educational staff in order to increase the impact in their lives.
Weekly sessions are instructed by our professional staff; competitive cyclists with an educational background, who act as role models to our participants.
Through an extensive educational process the teens experience a feeling of success, which is then translated into daily life challenges.
Graduates complete the program with a sense of capability, increased self-esteem and a natural hunger to overcome anything they face. Graduates receive the opportunity to participate in our
second year programs.
Graduate Programs
Cycling Instructors Course
Graduates participate in a full cycling instructor course, which certifies them through the Israel Cycling Federation. Once completed, they are integrated into our youth at risk groups and act as co-instructors.
Bicycle Mechanic Course
Graduates participate in an intensive course, which certifies them as bicycle mechanics through the Israel Cycling Federation. Once certified, they are eligible for work in our bicycle workshop during the afternoon. The workshop repairs and maintains all types of bicycles and is open for the public.

Carmi Sharvit - Technical Manager
Cycling is a way of life for me. I began riding at the age of 13, trained by one of the first road cyclists in Israel, Henry and Meir Ohayon. They were my role models and inspiration along the way, and led me to become a coach and create my own cycling team, X-Team. I now have the opportunity to pass on to others my experience through HetzUmatara.
Adva Sharvit - CEO
After many years in the Academy (PhD in Neuroscience), I found my passion in working towards creating social change.
HetzUmatara’s vision combines my love of sport with educating children and teens. I believe that by using the challenge created by cycling we can show them that anything is possible. I believe that the education I received at home led me to devote my life to philanthropic work.
